I'm studying words from New HSK. I believe the frequency of those words makes it essential to know all of the components well i.e. tones, definition and writing.

However, I'm also adding words into my default Miscellaneous list from my daily life. Ideally I'd like to just learn the definitions in that list. So my question is, does Skritter have a way to study just definitions from a certain list?

Go to the list page and from there to "Change Study Settings"; you can uncheck the unwanted parts there.
