Marking cards as "easy" in pinyin

朗帝   August 8th, 2013 5:11a.m.

Is is possible to make a shortcut for marking cards as "easy" in pinyin training? I always have to use the mouse, to click "4 - easy" because if I press "4" on the keyboard (like in all other forms of training) it just changes the tone - even when I already typed it correctly.

It's quite annoying to have to use 3 input devices (mouse, tablet and keyboard).

Agreed! An alternate (though strange) for input options would be to use Shift+1~4 to do the markings in pinyin input so that the code can tell difference between tone marks & gradings...

I don't think we'll add this kind of shortcut. When we've tried modal shortcuts in the past, they have been confusing and not very discoverable. I'd recommend not worrying about marking a "too easy" grade for pinyin prompts, just like with tone prompts.

If it's really too easy, then you can just hit 4 before you actually type any of the pinyin, and it'll toggle the grade. You don't get to actually answer the prompt this way, though.
